There is a love

There is love, a love so perfect, that it casts out all fear
Someone who will never leave you, nor forsake you
Someone who would rather give his life for you
Than to lose you

The one who mourns your pain
The one who comforts you
So you can comfort those in any trouble
With the comfort you have received

The one who works in all things for your good
The one who is for you, not against you
Who created you, formed you
And who delights in you, rejoices and dances over you with singing
Who is faithful, even when we are not
Whose name is Faithful and True
The one who was, is and is to come

Whose mercies are new every day
Who is patient, and kind
Who sympathizes with your weaknesses
Who know your words, before they are on your tongue

His thoughts for you outnumber the grains of the sand
He is the one who holds onto you
He will bring beauty from your ashes
Turn your mourning into dancing

Rom 8 - For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 John 4 - there is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment.

Heb 13 - Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.

Rom 5 - God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Rom 12 - Mourn with those who mourn

2 Cor 1 - Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 

Zephaniah 3 - The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.

Psalm 139 - how precious to me are your thoughts O God, and how vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand.

1 Cor 13 - Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking..
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

2 Cor 1 - Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 


Isaiah 61
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
to comfort all who mourn,
to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair

Psalm 139

 O Lord, You have searched me and known me.

You have hedged me behind and before,

And laid Your hand upon me.

Where can I go from Your Spirit?

Or where can I flee from Your presence?

And Your right hand shall hold me.

The darkness and the light are both alike to You.

For You formed my inward parts;

You covered me in my mother’s womb.

 will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

Marvelous are Your works,

My frame was not hidden from You,

When I was made in secret,

And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.

And in Your book they all were written,

The days fashioned for me,

When as yet there were none of them.

How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!

How great is the sum of them!

If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand;

When I awake, I am still with You.
